Focusing Network the Netherlands & Belgium.
The ‘Focusing Network the Netherlands & Belgium’ is an Independent and open Network which can be joined by anyone using Focusing in their work.
Its aim is to
- keep Focusing alive and deepen the process of Focusing
- make Focusing available to a larger public by maintaining a website which gives information on where professional Focusing trainers, therapists and facilitators are available throughout the Netherlands and Belgium
- keep information up to date on where and when throughout the Netherlands and Belgium Focusing classes, workshops, specialisation and training are given and by whom also where to obtain help for individual processes
- make it possible for interaction so that a member can suggest that a student or client could consult a fellow member of the Network when this is appropriate
- provide possibilities for people from various disciplines who use Focusing in their work to enhance their skills through exchange of ideas and knowledge, work practise and experience
- come together at an annual meeting where professional expertise is enhanced by workshops, presentations and exchange
- keep each other informed of ongoing activities and special projects.
- publish a newsletter for its members 4 times a year
- maintain a close connection with the Focusing Institute in New York
- support interest groups.
One of the interest groups is Children’s Focusing.
In Holland an association ‘Stichting KinderFocussen’ was set up in the Summer 2006 to promote focusing by children.
The association stimulates Focusing by offering specialist projects like the School Focusing Project, workshops, provision of information including introductions and leaflets, and it maintains a website.
The association offers this for:
- children and youth (0-18 years)
- parents, carers and grandparents
- people who work with children like teachers, school care workers, children’s therapists, pre-school workers, students of all sorts who want to work with children.
