Interactive Focusing:
Empowering and Enhancing the Relationships among Children, Parents and Teachers

Session 1: The Power of Empathy to Oneself and Others

Led by: Atsmaout Perlstein

This workshop will be divided into two parts: a. learn and experience the Interactive Focusing Model and experience different exercises that will enhance teaching Focusing both to children and adults b. learn and experience all about empathy; the building block for intimacy and the key element in our inner healing. We will practice “One Wing Interactive Focusing”.
Atsmaout Perlstein is an eclectic, dynamic Focusing-Oriented clinical psychologist for the past 25 years who treats individuals, couples and families. Atsmaout lived 30 years in Chicago and studied Focusing from her mentors Eugene Gendlin, Mary McGuire and Janet Klein. She was part of the team who created the Summer School program and taught there for three years. Atsmaout is a Focusing Coordinator for the past 15 years and brought Focusing to Israel in 2000 where she cofounded the Israeli Focusing Center with Bilha Frolinger. She is a dynamic lecturer and led workshops to parents, teachers and students of different ages. She has been involved in training therapists and psychologists in Focusing- Oriented Therapy.

Session 2: Healing Conflicts using Interactive Focusing - the Coach Model

Led by: Atsmaout Perlstein

This workshop will focus on: a. the function and meaning of conflicts in relationships b. identifying personal patterns that fuel the conflicts in ones own relationships c. experiencing and practicing the Coach Model for conflict healing using “Two Wings Interactive Focusing”.
* the two sessions are independent of each other. Participants may choose to experience one or both sessions.
