Interest Groups: each afternoon 16.00-17.30 (3 times)

The interest groups are meant for furthering expertness and experience in Focusing with Children by learning from each other. Interest Groups are groups that connect and collaborate around common interests. Conference participants can select an interest group that comes closest to meeting the practical area in which they are using Focusing. This offers people a structured and protected space and time to meet, free from interruptions and open to creativity. Together you will make a program.

The aim of the Interest Groups is to help participants with special interest applications to develop their practical skills for Focusing with Children. Group participants will create and develop their own learning environment through sharing exercises, ideas, experiences, questions and being models for each other. Some people may want to just use the Interest Group time to meet others who have a common background or interest. Others may want to use it as time to focus and plan, in greater depth, a special project: a collaborative paper, an experiential workshop, a book or a particular activity.

Make your work as experiential as possible and take time to reflect on it, so you are models for each other. So please bring with you your materials from your practice with children for sharing. There will be a facilitator from the organization team for each group.
On Sunday morning each group can make a presentation, in their own style, on some of the issues they have worked on.

A choice can be made between these areas of interest, although other group titles may emerge.
The first evening participants can choose their Interest Group. On each of the following conference days there will be an hour and a half scheduled for those groups.
The organisation team will personally explain to you more about the Interest groups and ask you in which group you want to participate. Only after that we will know if and how the groups are composed, with the possibility a group will fall out or we need to make another group.
Your flexibility is required. I hope you can understand that.
And of course there will be ample opportunity to meet during meals, before dinner, etc

Homegroups: each morning 9.15-10.15

There will be 5 Home groups of approximately 7 persons. These Home Groups will meet not at the same time as the Interest Groups. Each group will be facilitated by a member of the organizing team.
The home groups are meant to have a safe / reliable place to be with yourself and reflecting about how you are at the moment in the conference, personal issues, quality time, and to share about that. There can also be space for reflection about a presentation.

The moderator starts with group-focusing, so each person can talk from a deeper place. The moderator is model for the group, mirroring, inviting and stimulating, inviting also other group members to mirror, for example making the agreement the person sitting next to someone will mirror. In case of disagreement among the group members or other problems which come up you can stay with mirroring and offer a short moment of focusing.
It should need no explanation that everybody is responsible for the group process.
