Welcome
We are happy to announce the 7th International Conference of Children Focusing 2010.
The conference will take place in Heemskerk, The Netherlands, from the 15th to the 19th of September 2010. The main theme will be “Sparkling Energy”.
The language of the conference will be English and there are a lot of people which have “cross cultural awareness”, so please invite yourself to this foreign conference, where the spoken language isn’t a problem!!
The theme “Sparkling Energy” has emerged from our experiences in working with children.
Children have a great deal of inner “sparkling energy” and when they Focus, one can see and feel the energy starting to sparkle more and more. Children are able to connect with this energy, which gives a supporting “living forward” source of strength that they have available at all times throughout their lives.
Topics are
- How can we work with parents in a way that they can recognize and ‘be with’ the “Sparkling Energy” of their children?
- How can we work as a teacher, a therapist or a group-worker in a way that you can unfold the “Sparkling Energy” of the children?
- How can we connect with our own “Sparkling Energy” while working with children?
The conference is open to anyone who has completed a basic Focusing course and to anyone who is interested in Focusing with Children. We welcome parents, grandparents, teachers, group leaders, nurses, child-psychotherapists and anyone who cares for a child.
The conference program will include home-groups, interest-groups, short presentations and special evening programs. We look forward to sharing experiences on how to introduce ‘Children Focusing’ to institutions such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals, psychotherapeutic centers and, of course, in parenting. We would like to enable participants from all over the world, with both professional and personal interest in ‘Children Focusing’, to benefit from each others knowledge. The conference will also be a social event and we hope that friends, co-workers, colleagues and indeed all participants will enjoy the local atmosphere during these days spent together.
